Two journalists shot dead in Mexico

Two journalists have been shot dead in the eastern Mexican state of Veracruz. This is the worst year for the killing of journalists in Mexico. According to the non-governmental organization Article 19, violence against the media has increased during the rule of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

Two journalists have been shot dead four days after the body of renowned journalist Luis Enrique Ramirez was recovered from a street in Mexico’s Sinalo state. Earlier this year, eight journalists were killed in the country before Ramirez’s body was recovered.
