This time Coke Studio Bangla brought Nazrul’s ghazal

After ‘Nasek Nasek’ and ‘Prayer’, Coke Studio Bangla brought the ghazal of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. The third song of Coke Studio ‘Bulbuli’ was released on Bengali New Year (April 14) yesterday.

The song is a fusion of Kazi Nazrul Islam’s ‘Bagichay Bulbuli Tui’ ghazal with Spanish melody. It was accompanied by a short verse titled ‘Dol Dol Dol Deche Deye’ written by Syed Gausul Alam Shaon.

A total of 10 songs will be released in the first season of Coke Studio Bangla. There will be a few extra songs along with the special program.

Rituraj Vaidya and Sanjida Mahmud Nandita have given voices in the new song. The song was produced by Shayan Chowdhury Arnab and was composed by Shuvendu Das Shuvo.

In ‘Bulbuli’, both love and pain are portrayed through the metaphorical relationship between the song bird Bulbuli and her favorite flower.

The band consisted of Imran Ahmed (Acoustic Guitar), Shuvendu Das Shuvo (Classical Guitar), Sadul Islam (Acoustic Guitar), Faizan Rashid Ahmed (Bass), Kabil Mia (Trumpet), Raheen Haider (Tenor Saxophone), Sayanton Saxophone), Panth Kanai (drums), Mohammad Mokarram Hossain (percussion), Mithun Chakraborty (percussion), Mubarak Islam (percussion), Pradyut Chatterjee (piano and synth keyboard).

Karisma Shanu Sabhyata, Rubayat Rehman and Jannatul Firdaus Akbar were the background vocals of the song.
