The United States is considering sending senior US officials to Ukraine

US President Joe Biden has said he is considering sending senior US officials to Ukraine.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Biden said this on Thursday. The news agency AFP reported this information.

Biden was asked if US officials would be sent to war-torn Ukraine.

“We are making that decision now,” Biden said in response.

Biden did not specify exactly what level of US officials might be considered for sending to Ukraine.

Possible senior US officials to be sent to Ukraine could include Secretary of State Anthony Blinken or Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

However, US State Department spokesman Ned Price declined to comment.

Sending senior U.S. officials to Ukraine would be a major demonstration of Washington’s support for Kiev.

In a brief conversation with a reporter, Biden hinted that he might visit the Ukrainian capital Kiev himself.

Asked if he was ready to go to Ukraine, Biden said, “Yes.”

However, White House spokeswoman Jane Sackie said Biden was unlikely to visit Kiev any time soon.

US President Biden announced on Wednesday that he would send 600 million worth of new weapons to Ukraine.

The weapons the United States will send to Ukraine include helicopters, special drones, armored vehicles, artillery and more.
