The United States is considering sending high-ranking officials to Ukraine

U.S. officials are considering sending a cabinet-level official to Kiev to show solidarity with Ukraine. A source close to the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.

The source said that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken or Secretary of Defense Austin Lloyd could be named as possible officials to be sent to Kiev.

According to the source, President Joe Biden’s visit to Ukraine is unlikely. No final decision has yet been made on sending the officer.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen recently visited Ukraine. They have visited Kiev as an expression of cooperation and support for Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion in February.
