Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed, who recently flew to England for treatment on his shoulder, met up with the former pace bowling coach of the team, Ottis Gibson.
Taskin, who had made considerable improvement under the tutelage of the West Indian, went to Chelmsford to meet with Gibson, who is now the chief coach of English county side Yorkshire.
The Bangladesh pacer posted a picture of himself with the coach on his social media account, with the caption: ‘Good to see you after a long time, coach.’
In a conversation with The Daily Star, Gibson said he enjoyed spending time with his former student in England. “Taskin contacted me after coming to England. It was a wonderful time we spent together. He is an excellent pacer and I always like him. He also respects me a lot,” Gibson said.
Taskin has always attributed his success to the former West Indian fast bowler. When asked what they talked about in the recent meeting, Gibson said, “Nothing particular. I was just happy to see him. I wished him a speedy recovery.”
