Russian military laboratory fire kills 6. A fire at a military research institute working to improve air defense systems in Russia’s northwestern city of Tivar has killed at least six people.

Video footage broadcast on the country’s television shows a plume of smoke billowing from inside the four-story building of the Central Research Institute of Russian Air and Space Forces. At this time many people jumped out of the window to escape the fire.
