Rally in front: Shahbaz sent a bomb disposal unit to Imran’s house

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is organizing mass rallies across Pakistan to overthrow the so-called ‘foreign-backed’ government led by Shahbaz. Their first rally was on Thursday (April 21) in Lahore. But before that, the Pakistani administration had advised the PTI chief not to attend the rally in the wake of two security threats against Imran Khan. Although the former Prime Minister did not listen to it.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Thursday said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had directed the Home Department to take immediate action to ensure proper security for former Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Peaceful rallies are part of democracy and we are instructed not to create any obstacles in this regard,” he said.

As per Shahbaz’s instructions, Union Home Minister Rana Sanaullah has sent urgent letters to the Home Secretary and Chief Commissioner of four provinces of Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the Chief of Police of Islamabad to ensure Imran Khan’s safety. It has also been directed to deploy a bomb disposal unit outside Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence.

All local authorities have been warned that any security breach will not be tolerated at Imran Khan’s public meetings and gatherings. Shahbaz has directed the Pakistani Home Minister to personally oversee the situation to monitor the situation and implement the directives.

Meanwhile, at a public meeting on Thursday, Imran Khan called on supporters to be ready for the Islamabad rally. Speaking at the Minar-e-Pakistan, he said, “If the rivals think what will happen after the Lahore rally, then know that the real work of PTI has just begun.”

Imran Khan said that not only PTI leaders but all Pakistanis would be asked to take part in the rally. In the village, in the city, wherever you are, everyone be ready. Wait for my phone call to come to Islamabad.
