He made the announcement while addressing an iftar and prayer mahfil at his home in Sundalpur union of Kabirhat upazila on Friday evening.

At that time Ekram Chowdhury said, ‘I am very proud of my home Kabirhat. This is my heart. I do not know what will be the decision of Bangladesh Awami League. But if you want, I will ask for nominations from Noakhali-4 and Noakhali-5. The rest will be decided by the Prime Minister. If you allow me to be nominated, show me your hand. ‘

Addressing Obaidul Quader, he said, ‘I have given you a place after my father. But you couldn’t hold on. Your own brother, in his words you removed me from the post of general secretary. You just didn’t leave me out. The whole Noakhali Awami League has ravaged the family. Today he has been made the convener. Just expelled, expelled as convener. Hey, how much will you expel? ‘

Ekram Chowdhury said, ‘People of Kabirhat have made me a leader. What is my crime? I was thus humiliated. I’m killing 28 or so, my son is carrying a weapon. I don’t want to say who said that. ‘

MP Ekram further said, “I think the people of Kabirhat will not go to those who give false speeches for their own interest. The man who didn’t sit in front of me said a lot of bad things. I fell ill. ‘

Also present at the time were Noakhali Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Samsuddin Jihan, Kabirhat Upazila Chairman Kamrunnahar Shiuli, former Joint General Secretary of Noakhali District Awami League Abdul Momin BSc and others.
