In Delhi, a mother was hacked to death in front of a child in broad daylight. The killer fled after the killing, police said.

The incident took place at noon on Thursday (April 21) in south-west Delhi.
Citing local police, news agency ANI reported that a call came to the Sagarpur police station at noon that a woman had been stabbed. Police arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the call. The seriously injured woman was taken to the hospital where doctors declared her dead.
Citing CCTV footage, police further said that the woman ran towards the house with her child and stabbed him to death. The incident took place at around 2:10 pm and the killer escaped.
Initial investigations revealed that the killer and the victim had been neighbors before. It was not immediately clear what caused the killings. An investigation is underway. A case has been filed in connection with the murder. An operation is underway to arrest the killer.
