Maradona’s doctors could face up to 7 to 25 years in prison

After the death of Diego Maradona, many pointed fingers at his doctors. Leopoldo Luke, a neurologist, and Augustina Kosakov, a psychologist, are also being investigated by two of the eight doctors. The two have been blamed for Maradona’s deteriorating health. Allegations have also been made against physiologist Carlos Diaz and medical coordinator Nancy Forlani. For the death of the legendary footballer, the government prosecutors have requested to bring all the doctors in charge of his care under the murder case.

At the end of his playing career, he had to continue fighting against these two. The legendary footballer underwent surgery for a blood clot in his brain before he died in November 2020. Maradona has not recovered from that.

Maradona’s prosecutors have charged eight doctors with ‘murder’. According to prosecutors, Maradona’s doctors ignored him. If convicted, doctors could face up to seven to 25 years in prison. Prosecutors are blaming doctors for keeping Maradona at home for treatment.
