In a stern message to China, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that India would not give concessions to anyone if they were harmed. He further said that India is emerging as a strong country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He made the remarks while addressing the Indian American community in San Francisco, USA on Thursday.
In his speech, the Indian Defense Minister also gave a subtle message to the United States.
He said New Delhi does not believe in the diplomacy of the ‘Zero-Sam Game’. India does not want to sever ties with another country at the cost of its relations with one country. … India believes in a win-win bilateral relationship. ‘
Rajnath Singh went to Washington DC to attend the India-US 2 + 2 Ministerial Meeting. From there he traveled to San Francisco after a meeting at the Indopacum headquarters in Hawaii.
At a function held in his honor at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, Rajnath Singh spoke of the heroism of Indian troops on the Chinese border. “I cannot say for sure what they (Indian troops) have done and what we (the government) have decided,” he said. But I can say with certainty that the message has gone (to China) that it will not make concessions to India if it loses.
Rajnath Singh, without directly mentioning US pressure on Russia over the Ukraine war, said, “If India has good relations with one country, it does not mean that its relations with another will deteriorate. ‘
Rajnath’s remarks came amid some unrest in Washington over India’s position on the Ukraine crisis, as well as its decision to buy oil from Russia at lower prices.
Rajnath Singh said, ‘India’s image has changed. India’s prestige has increased. No power in the world can stop India from becoming one of the top three economies in the world in the next few years. Source: NDTV
