Ignoring pressure from the United States and the West over Russia’s ongoing offensive in Ukraine, India has received another shipment of state-of-the-art Russian-made S-400 air defense equipment.
According to a report by NDTV quoting ANI, Delhi has adopted a missile defense system for the S-400 Triumph, a Russian-launched surface-to-air missile. But there are no missiles or launchers.
Moscow continues to supply defense equipment to India amid ongoing attacks in Ukraine.
Ignoring pressure from the West, including the United States, India has pursued a diplomatic approach to Moscow.
However, there are concerns over whether India’s defense dealings with Moscow will continue in the near future. Because the solution to pay Russia has not been found yet.
An Indian government source told ANI that the defense forces had recently received a shipment from the Russians and that it was still ongoing. So far there have been no supply problems for our forces.
ANI quoted an Indian official as saying that more S-400s would be imported from Russia in phases as per the agreement.
Earlier, Moscow started sending S-400 consignments to India from December 2021. Russia has recently sent more weapons, including warplane parts, along with the S-400 sent to India. It is learned that Russia’s defense system has reached India by sea and air.
