After only 15 months of marriage, Johnny and Amber’s wife Amber filed for divorce in May 2016, alleging that Johnny had abused her physically, mentally and verbally. Depp has denied the allegations. Amber Hard wrote a sub-editorial in the Washington Post about the incident of torture in 2016. Despite being a public figure there, Hard claims to be a victim of her husband’s torture. There, he wrote, “I had a rare opportunity to see in real life how institutions protect accused men, despite allegations of torture.” Although she did not mention her ex-husband’s name there. However, Johnny Depp filed a defamation suit against Hard, claiming that his career had been damaged by the writing.

On the day of the hearing, fans crowded outside the court to demand justice, most of them in favor of Johnny. Many came from far away. Some of them claim that Johnny did not get justice in London. Their expectation is that at least in the United States, the favorite actor will get justice. The hearing will last six to seven weeks. The hearing will be broadcast live and will be attended by several high profile people. Hard will be backed by Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, and James Franco, one of the actors in the Spider-Man movie. British actor Paul Betany will stand up for his friend Johnny.
