Todd Boyle’s empire begins with the Roman Abramovich chapter virtually ending in Chelsea. According to the British media, the business group led by Boyle has reached an agreement to buy the English club.
Now, with the approval of the English Premier League authorities and the United Kingdom government, the official end of Abramovich’s empire at Stamford Bridge will begin. ..........................................................................
An official statement from Chelsea’s website said: “Chelsea Football Club is confirming that Clearlake Capital, led by Todd Boyle, Mark Walter and Hansjrg Wes have agreed to a new deal.
Hansjrg Weiss, a Swiss billionaire, Mark Walter, a US businessman, Jonathan Goldstein, a British businessman, and Clearlake Capital, an investment firm, are part of Boyle’s business group in the process of buying Chelsea.
The process of buying Chelsea will cost Boyle a total of 490 crore Euros (about 44 thousand 741 crore in Bangladeshi currency). He will spend the lion’s share of this money to buy the club’s shares. The rest will be invested in other small sectors. The British media confirmed last week that the US had unofficially completed the process of buying the billionaire Chelsea.
Boyle owns the United States baseball team Los Angeles Dodgers, is a co-founder of the holding firm LDridge Industries, and has a stake in the NBA team Los Angeles Lakers.
At one point they were told they were lagging behind as a potential buyer for Chelsea.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the richest man in England, tried in vain to buy Chelsea in the end. At the last minute, he could not take advantage of the price of 425 million pounds. Boyle offered Abramovich 2.2 billion to buy Chelsea in 2019. The businessman then expressed his desire to enter the English Premier League.
