Rashidul Islam: [2] With Bihar Chief Minister of India and JD (U) leader Nitish Kumar attending RJD’s Iftar party, speculation has started in the state about a new political equation. Parstuday

[3] According to Hindi media outlet on Saturday, RJD leader and former state minister Tej Pratap Yadav said, “The government will be formed, the game will be played, we have had secret talks with Nitish. At the same time, Tej Pratap added, “We had earlier put up a ‘no entry board’ for Nitish Kumar, but now we have given him an ‘entry’.” Now he has come, so the government will be formed.

[4] An Iftar party was organized on Friday at the home of former state chief minister and RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna, the capital of Bihar. According to analysts, the Iftar party has become a major political event. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accompanied by security personnel, walked from his residence to the Iftar at the invitation of RJD leaders. Despite the political bitterness between the two sides, the entire family of Rabri Devi (former chief minister), including Tejaswi Yadav, a possible successor of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, extended warm congratulations to the chief minister to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

[5] If Nitish Kumar joins RJD, the political equation in Bihar will change. In the 243-seat assembly, RJD has six MLAs, JDU 45 and one independent. If Nitish Kumar goes with RJD, then Jitan Ram Majhi’s party ‘Hum’ will also go with him. This could lead to the formation of a government without the Congress, the Left Front and the MIM. In other words, RJD-6, JDU-47 and 4 MLAs of ‘Hum’ will have 126. 122 MLAs are needed to form the government.

[8] Asked about the merger of Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan and Tejaswi Yadav, LJP leader Chirag Paswan said, “No, there is no such possibility. It is not at all appropriate to look at Iftar from a political point of view.

[6] On the other hand, after joining the iftar, BJP leader and state minister Shahnawaz Hussain said, “I and Sushil Modiji gave iftar, Nitish Kumar also came. Tejaswi Yadav gave Iftar here. We were also called, we came. There is no need to bring out any political issue in this.
[6] Earlier, Nitish Kumar visited Rabri Devi’s house for the last time in 2016 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. At that time he was running the government in alliance with RJD. Nitish Kumar later severed ties and joined hands with the BJP. But Nitish Kumar’s relationship with BJP is not going well at present. Tensions are running high between the two sides. In that situation, in the presence of Nitish Kumar at RJD’s Iftar, speculation has started in the political arena about a new equation. It is said that Tejaswi Yadav and his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav did all the preparations for this year’s event. People of Muslim community and other personalities from all districts of Bihar were also invited.
